Bonjourno!!
Greetings from Italy!! That's right - The SportDorks have hit the road once again, this time heading to the land of pasta and gelato to attend a wedding. As I sit in our our tiny hotel room in Rome and sip on a bottle of luke-warm sparkling water, crafting yet another entry, I can't help but think back fondly on our year in England. I may get teary-eyed. Hold on - I need to go get a tissue.
Much better. Now where was I? Oh yes. I can only hope that you continue to be in awe of my commitment to The SportDork Nation. I think it's clear that I refuse to let borders or language or even convenient internet connectivity get in the way of delivering another stellar entry to you, the reader.
I have no idea what's going on stateside when it comes to the world of sports, and I'm not at liberty to spend prodigious amounts of time surfing the internet to find out, since Mrs. SportDork forgot to bring the charger for her laptop. I think it was a calculated move to keep me off of ESPN.com during the vacation, but she claims it was merely an oversight. All I know is that I've never felt this kind of pressure to get an entry done.
Since my time is limited, I've decided to take the opportunity to give you a brief update on our travels. I'll get back to the world of sports next week. Plus, there's no way the Hawks have any chance of winning game seven against the Celtics if I start yapping about it. (Ok - so I peeked. Don't tell Mrs. SportDork. I don't want to catch hell tomorrow when we don't have enough battery left to google directions from Rome to the wedding villa in Tuscany.)
So there are only two things you need to know about our trip to Italy. First, there's tons to do in Rome. We haven't even had to stray far from our hotel to catch the action. Here's a couple of shots of the drug legalization rally that took place outside of our hotel last night:

After we snapped off these pictures from our room, we ran down and joined the party. Viva La Revolutione! (Wait - is that Spanish or Italian?) Sorry for the picture quality - Mrs. SportDork took it on her Treo and e-mailed it to me, since I forgot the USB cable that connects our camera to the laptop (I know - we're even). I kind of like the way it came out. Has a artsy feel to it, no?
Many of you may have also heard that the pick-pockets are legendary in Italy, and are wondering whether the SportDorks have fallen prey to such activity. This brings me to the second thing you need to know about our trip to Italy, which is captured in the photo below:

Our cash is secure.
