My apologies to The SportDork Nation.  After returning from the UF/UGA game on Sunday, I have spent the last three days looking for an opportunity to pen a lengthy essay on "the eye-gouge attempt heard 'round the world."  Unfortunately, I have received the rough equivalent of an eye-gouge from my place of employment for the last three days and haven't been able to find the time to wax eloquently about Mr. Spikes transgressions on the gridiron.  But don't worry - it's coming.  In fact, since you've been so patient with me, I might even take a minute in my next post to acknowledge that the World Series is in full swing (pun intended).
